A woman claims to have been sexually assaulted by FT Island member Choi Jonghun.
According to a report by 10Asia on the 10th, a woman "A" claims that she lost consciousness after drinking a cocktail given to her by Choi Jonghun in the U.S in March 2012, and was raped afterwards. She claims that he gave her the so called "GHB", a date rape drug. The woman is said to be in the process of filing a complaint through a legal representative.
According to a source close to 'A', she decided to garner some courage and file the complaint to tell him about the damage he had caused her and receive a sincere apology from the singer after seeing the recent illegal distribution of footage of singer Seungri and Jung Joon Young's Katalk chatroom. In response, an official from FNC Entertainment, Choi Jonghun's agency said, "We haven't heard about the incident. We have terminated our contract with Choi Jonghun so we're not in a place where we can make a statement about the complaint."
Jonghun was booked police on charges of distributing four hidden camera recordings in the Katalk chat room which includes singers Jung Joon Young and former Big Bang member Seungri. He is also under investigation for allegedly attempting to bribe police after being caught drunk driving in February 2016. Choi Jonghun posted an apology on his personal SNS on March 14th and said he will leave his group FT Island and retire from the entertainment industry as well.
