Oh Jaewon is refuting rumors that he attended Seungri's Palawan birthday party.
Doosan Bears Oh Jaewon (33) gave an explanation about the alleged rumors that he attended Seungri's birthday party in the Philippines. On the 17th, he posted a photo on Instagram with a lengthy post and said, "I'm training hard for the season. I'm working hard for my beloved colleagues, team, and family. I think I need to address the allegations so that I don't harm them." He then shared a photo of his plane ticket and said, "My girlfriend paid for both of the tickets and she also received the formal invitation. I turned down the invite because I was going to a trip with my girlfriend at the time. I hate addressing this situation as this is my personal life but I will do my best for my colleague and families. I will not tolerate nor standby any further distortions of my character," he said signaling a hard-line response to the spread of rumors.
Oh Jaewon was rumored to have attended the Philippine birthday party due to a photo taken with the former Big Bang member. There was also an unconfirmed rumor that he had worked with Lee Munho, CEO of Burning Sun, with regards to his cafe in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul.
Fans of the player left supportive messages on his Instagram saying, "You should punish the people who are spreading the rumors strongly, "Don't get sick, " "I'm sorry you had to explain." But netizens thought the statement appeared suspicious saying, "Why did you have to check with your girlfriend?" "Why did she receive the invite?" and more.
On the other hand, the Doosan star was recently bumped down to 2nd baseman due to poor performance.
