Even the fans that remained despite Park Yoochun's controversial allegations have now turned their backs.
Yoochun was suspected of being entertainer 'A' that took drugs with his ex Hwang Hana who was arrested for drug use charges. Yoochun held a press conference and expressed his firm position repeatedly denying that he had "never done drugs," and said, "I'm afraid that I'll be known as someone who did drugs when I never did such a thing."
However, on the 23rd, the results of the leg hair drug test that Yoochun took on April 16th came back positive. The test that was completed by the National Forensic Service detected Philophon (a form of Meth) on Yoochun's system.
Yoochun's fan community, 'Park Yoochun Gallery' released a statement on the 23rd after the drug test results and asked for the singer/actor to be dismissed from CJES Entertainment, Yoochun's label.
The fans wrote:
"From the very beginning, we've been avid supporters of Park Yoochun even when he encountered difficult times in the past. However, we can no longer support him because we have no way to stop this terrible feelings of being informed that Yoochun's drug test results by the National Institute of Scientific Investigation came back positive. We really believed in Yoochun's sincere appeal and even announced our "support statement" on the 11th, but eventually he has hurt his fans' hearts again. We [Park Yoochun Gallery] can no longer support him and strongly urge that Park Yoochun be withdrawn from CJES Entertainment. When everyone criticized him we supported him and believed him to the end. He adamantly claimed he didn't do drugs and even showed us his tears but it all turned out to be false. On the afternoon of the 23rd, CJES Entertainment released an official statement after the results of the drug investigation were revealed.
The statement reads:
"Hello, this is C-JES Entertainment.Previously, the police had planned to summon both Yoochun and Hana for a joint interrogation. But with a positive drug test, the police have enough evidence to obtain a pretrial detention warrant for Yoochun therefore the joint interrogation was deemed unnecessary.
While trusting Park Yoochun's statement that he isn't guilty of drug use and observing the investigation process, we found out through media reports yesterday that Yoochun tested positive for a drug test by the National Forensic Service. We waited for the investigation results to come out while trusting the testimony of an artist under our agency and we feel terrible that such a result came out.
We've come to a conclusion that we won't be able to recover our relationship of mutual trust with Park Yoochun and decided to terminate our exclusive contract with him. Just like he stated at the press conference, Yoochun will be retiring from the entertainment industry and any further scheduled promotional activities will be canceled. He will cooperate with the Department of Justice's decision.
We deeply acknowledge the gravity of this matter and we take full responsibility. We will do our best to re-organize and take strict measures to make sure such an incident doesn't happen again.
We bow our heads in apology for causing worry with such an unfortunate event."
Park Yoochun is scheduled to undergo questioning on the 26th to determine the validity of the pretrial detention request.
