Seungri is accused of facilitating prostitution at his party in Palawan 2 years ago.
According to a report by Channel A, the former Big Bang member had his birthday party in December 2017 at a Palawan Island Resort in Philippines. A police official revealed, "We have secured statements from a female employee at a nightclub who attended event that Seungri arranged for prostitutes for the party. In particular, it is confirmed that Seungri covered all 8 female employees' travel expenses to Palawan, which police suspect would be for prostitution. Currently, it remains circumstantial whether Seungri received the investment from the investors that attended the party or whether he introduced these 'female employees' to the investors to maintain their existing investment."
In the meantime, Seungri is denying all the charges and claims "there is no prostitution arrangement".
In addition to the prostitution charges, Seungri is also accused of sharing illegal hidden camera footage.
