Police are finally applying for an arrest warrant for Seungri.
On April 29th, the head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Won Kyung-hwan, revealed in a press conference, "The investigation into Seungri and former Yuri Holdings CEO Yoo Inseok will be completed as soon as this week."
According to a report by MBC's 'News Desk', Seungri was investigated for a total of 15 times for prostitution, drugs, illegal hidden cameras, minors at Burning Sun, embezzlement and more. The reason why they didn't apply for an arrest warrant yet is because Seungri claimed that "he wasn't involved in management of Burning Sun."
According to 'News Desk', Seungri embezzled over 2 billion KRW ($1.7 million) . Junwon Industries that holds the largest stake in Burning Sun embezzled up to 800 million KRW ($770,000) and Yuri Holdings and Madame Lin Samo embezzled an estimated 5-600 million KRW (~$470,000 - $570,000) respectively.
The police official said, "We've already confirmed the facts surrounding Seungri's Palawan Party, embezzlement and more. We're applying for an arrest warrant this week. Also, we're expanding our investigation into YG Entertainment."
An official from the National Tax Service said, "We're conducting a special tax investigation on Burning Sun and Junwon Industries."
Meanwhile, the police will concentrate on the police incident [bribery] after finishing their investigation into Seungri for embezzlement and prostitution.
