YG Entertainment has announced its official position regarding the alleged use of YG corporate credit card by Seungri.
On the morning of APril 25th, YG Entertainment made an official statement regarding allegations that company credit card was used for Seungri's alleged prostitution lodging expenses. A representative from the label spoke to OSEN on the 25th and said, "The alleged credit card used by Seungri for his expenses in 2015 was paid exclusively by him. All the transactions on the card were for Seungri's personal expenses and are unrelated the company."
According to a previous report by the Chosun Ilbo on the 24th, Seungri and his business partner Yoo In Seok had arranged for prostitutes at a party for Japanese businessmen in December 2015. According to the report, the Japanese businessmen stayed in a 5 star hotel in Seoul and Seungri paid the hotel fee of about 30 million KRW (~$27,000) with the YG corporate card. However, YG Entertainment emphasized that the card was not related to the business and was exclusively Seungri's.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment terminated their exclusive contract with Seungri on March 13 amid Burning Sun scandal.
