An attorney has revealed that it will be difficult to charge Yang Hyun Suk for prostitution.
Lawyer Noh Young Hee made an appearance on TBS Live FM's 'News Factory' with Kim Joon-jun on the 29th and predicted that it will be difficult to file charges of prostitution against Yang Hyun Suk.
He said, "It will be difficult for a prosecutor to indict Yang Hyun Suk because they'll need to prove the fact that he [YHS] directed the transaction. However, there could be another way if the Thai businessman 'Bob' [Chavanos Rattakul] who attended the gathering is found guilty of sexually assaulting and drugging a woman that night."
According to an expose by MBC's 'Straight' on the 25th, a woman testified that "Mr. Bob had drugged her, taken her to his hotel and physically and sexually assaulted her."
A witness also revealed to the 'Straight' team that he had heard the head of a YG affiliate telling the Thai man "I'll clean up everything." Yang Hyun Suk, the alleged head YG affiliate and Thai man Bob are suspected to have close ties.
In the meantime, YG Entertainment stock has plummeted to historic lows plunging by half after the revelations by 'Straight' were revealed.
The Thai businessman Bob was summoned from overseas by Seoul police for investigation into the issue but he has refused to comply with the summons.
