Victims lawyer clarifies that Kang Ji-hwan wasn't drunk the night of the assault

The victims lawyer has shared new revelations about the night of Kang Ji-hwan's assault.

SBS program 'Midnight [Night of Entertainment]' that was broadcast on the 16th aired an interview with victims 'A' and 'B's lawyer Park Ji-hoon who revealed that Kang Ji-hwan was not intoxicated on the night of the sexual assault.

Park Ji-hoon stated, "Kang Ji-hwan was not drunk at all. It was actually Kang Ji-hwan that guided the police to the room where the victims were hiding. The victims asked for help from three outside parties immediately after the incident." 

'Midnight' also revealed a text message from Kang Ji-hwan who had apologized to the victims after the incident. His message to the victims stated: "Did I really do that? If so I should be locked up in jail."

With regards to online speculations as to why the victims didn't call police right away, Park Ji-hoon stated, "There was no cell service at the house and Kang Ji-hwan's home phone doesn't work."

Park Ji Hoon also revealed that Kang Ji-hwan and the victims were in a close oppa-dongseng relationship despite having only worked at the agency since April of this year.

In the meantime, Kang Ji-hwan admitted to all the sexual assault allegations on the 15th and apologized to the victims for the hurt and "promised to live in atonement".
