An official of a drama production company revealed that "although there is currently no direct contact with these streaming platforms at the moment, they're planning and creating services that are aimed for these platforms."
According to the official, a big budget and cast is required to get into Netflix and because the hallyu wave was blocked in China, the biggest hand in the streaming industry right now is Netflix. 'YG Electronics' which was released as a Netflix Original and dramas like 'My First First Love' didn't gain much popularity at first but new dramas like 'Arthdal Chronicles' and 'Chief of Staff' are getting popular.
The consensus is that the environment for drama production is changing from daily TV dramas to online streaming ones and a lot of Korean content companies are looking to expand into this space.
