Yang Hyun Suk and Seungri are under suspicion of illegal 'hwanchigi' activities in Las Vegas.
Prior reports by Dispatch alleged that Yang Hyun Suk had illegally gambled overseas as well as committed illegal foreign exchange activities ('hwanchigi'). According to Dispatch, Yang Hyun Suk had booked a room at the MGM hotel in Las Vegas as a VIP guest on various occasions and set up bank accounts in Korea and U.S where he would deposit the funds in Korean won and withdraw in U.S dollars.
According to a new report by JTBC 'Newsroom', Seungri was also reportedly a VIP guest at the same hotel and casino on at least 4 occasions where he also gambled and lost about 1.3 billion won playing Baccarat.
In March, reports had surfaced that Seungri was illegally gambling overseas and that he had mentioned it in Jung Joon Young's controversial 'tokbang' chatroom but Seungri denied the allegations.
Police have reportedly secured records of Seungri and Yang Hyun Suk entering the casino and gambling multiple times and have launched a formal investigation into the allegations.
