Police have revealed plans to investigate the entire 'Produce 101' franchise.

According to police, they plan to investigate the entire 'Produce' series for alleged text vote manipulations.

In a press conference held at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency building in Central Seoul on the 2nd, a police official revealed, "We are checking whether there were any unfair parts in previous seasons of Produce 101 from it's first season to the third."

Police raided Mnet's office in Mapo-gu Seoul on July 31st and secured text voting data from two raids. Police plan to analyze the data to confirm "how" and "why", if there was any manipulation.

The case was assigned to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office Criminal Division 6 and since then, allegations of manipulation have continued to emerge over previous seasons including 'Produce 48.'

Attention is focusing whether the scope of the investigation will expand to include Mnet programs 'Show Me The Money' and 'Superstar K' as suspicions of vote manipulations on those programs is also rising.
