Investigations into the alleged drug purchase by former iKON member B.I will begin in earnest.

A police official from the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency stated on the 14th that "they plan to summon B.I within the next week for questioning on his attempted purchase of marijuana and whether he abused drugs." According to police, this will also help uncover Yang Hyun Suk's alleged involvement.

Allegations of drug purchase by B.I surfaced on June 12 after katalks revealed and B.I wrote on his person Instagram account at the time that "he had wanted to rely on something at a moment that was hard and painful." He then stated that "he was ashamed and sorry to the fans and members he had disappointed" and announced his withdrawal from the group.

Meanwhile, police will first summon the person who made the whistle-blower report to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission [Han Seo Hee]  and look into suspicions related to B.I and Yang Hyun Suk.
