Singer Woo Hye Mi (31) has been found dead at her home in Mangwon-dong.
Her agency released an official statement on the 22nd to confirm reports stating, "Woo Hye Mi was found dead at her home on the 21st. We're sorry to share such sad news. Her funeral has been prepared at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Gangdong, Seoul and will be performed quietly according to the family's wishes."
The official continued, "We are not aware of anything that could've led her to leave this world. She was scheduled to attend a meeting for her new single music video yesterday but she didn't show up."
According to reports, four days before her death on the 21st she was actively communicating with fans and acquaintances on SNS.
Woo Hye Mi made it to the quarterfinals on 2012's 'Voice Korea' and joined Leesang Company. She made her debut in 2015 and released her first mini album "s.s.t" in July.
According to police they do not suspect any foul play. The cause of death is currently unknown.
