The father of an 'Idol School' trainee has spoken out about the corruption on the show.
On the 5th, Lee Hae-in's father posted an article through DC Inside Gallery titled "My heart aches for my daughter."
In the post, Lee Hae-in's father stated, "CJ EM offered a contract to my daughter though an affiliate at the time of filming for the audition program. Although the final debut members had yet to be determined, they asked her to sign an exclusive contract without parental consent. Out of fear that this would disadvantage her debut, I kept quiet about the issue."
He continued, "The company had also promised that eliminated trainees would be making their debut by October 2018 at the latest. That never happened. It was a debut scam. My daughter's fans actually referred me to a lawyer for the vote rigging issue as well."
'Idol School' and 'Produce X' are currently under fire for alleged vote manipulations on the show. Investigations have already confirmed that three X1 members made their debut through rigging the final vote rankings.
Police have now expanded their scope of investigation to include Mnet program 'Produce 48'.
