S.E.S. Shoo will begin anew as a solo artist in Japan after gambling controversy.
Shoo will make her debut solo in Japan on November 27 with single "I found Love". Prior to release, she will perform live on November 25th at a club in Kichijoji, Tokyo, Japan.
A close aide to the singer told OSEN on the 28th, "Shoo is really reflecting deeply. She regrets her past wrongs and wants to overcome her gambling controversy and show that she's a good mother. She has long dreamed of making her solo debut and hopes the public can cheer her on but we're still cautious with any domestic activities at the moment. Because she was loved a lot by Japan as S.E.S, she wanted to meet her Japanese fans first. It's a big challenge for her as a mom but she's working hard."
Shoo has been under controversy for having gambled millions of won in a casino in Macao several times since last year. While her other charges of fraud and domestic gambling got dismissed, habitual gambling charges in Macao was prosecuted after determining that it was possible to pursue the charge without exceptions.
On February 18, she was sentenced to two years probation with the possibility of a six-month prison sentence if she commits a repeated offense during her probation period, as well as 80 hours of community service.
