Unlike Jung Joon Young (30) and FT Island's Choi Jong-hun (30) who are facing 7 and 5 years in prison, Girls Generation's Yuri's brother is facing 10 years.
According to Yonhap News, the prosecution demanded a 10 year prison term for Kwon during an open trial that was held at the Seoul District Court on the 13th. According to the prosecution, "the reason why they're demanding such a heavy sentence is due to the fact that the accused admitted his guilt and because the victims did not give consent."
In his final statement, Kwon stated, "I will live with this guilt imprinted on me forever as a fiance, family member and public figure that hurt a lot of people with my unforgivable actions."
Kwon is facing charges of alleged gang r*pe of women in January and March 2016 in Hongcheon and Daegu.
Meanwhile, the court will hold its final sentencing hearing at 11:00am KST on the 29th.
