According to a report by News1, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul that was investigating alleged "illegal brothel activities" in Daesung's Gangnam building booked a total of 56 owners and employees of five businesses on charges of violating the 'Food Sanitation Act' and violating the 'Sex Trade Punishment Act'.
However, they did not charge Daesung, the owner of the building stating, "they found no evidence after compiling the data and related statements."
In July last year, Daesung was accused of operating illegal entertainment bars and arranging for prostitution in the building. He denied the allegations stating "he wasn't aware of the illegal activities when he purchased the building."
In the meantime, police plan to forward the case to prosecution on Thursday with an opinion to indict the 56 owners and employees without detention.
