On the 20th, the cast of 'Parasite' attended a luncheon with President Moon Jae In to celebrate Director Bong Joon Ho's six Academy Award wins at the Oscars.
President Moon congratulated the cast for their film stating, "The academy awards have long been criticized for being a local film festival but director Bong Joon Ho has broken that prejudice. I'm especially proud that 'Parasite' was so outstanding that it broke the barrier of non-English speaking movies making it impossible not to recognize him as best director. He [Bong Joon Ho]has become a great pride for the people of Korea."
President Moon also congratulated the cast stating that "addressing inequality is his top national goal and he will make every effort to ensure the welfare of those working in the filming industry."
