Former YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk will be forwarded to prosecution.
According to an official from the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency on the 14th, "the police have determined that Yang Hyun Suk threatened a whistle-blower and will forward his case to prosecution with a recommendation of indictment."
Yang Hyun Suk was called in for investigations after allegations that he threatened a whistle blower that came forward with information regarding former iKON member B.I's drug case. In response, police summoned Yang Hyun Suk and whistle-blower A to investigate the case.
Yang Hyun Suk denied all allegations, however, it was revealed during investigations that a third person, identified only by his surname Kim, was also present at the scene when whistle-blower A and Yang Hyun Suk had a conversation. Kim is a YG affiliate official and is suspected of directly appointing a lawyer using YG funds to pay off the whistle-blower.
Due to this critical information, police determined that Yang Hyun Suk should be forwarded to prosecution as they could no longer trust his statements.
