On the 24th, child musical actor Kim Yu-bin (16) posted on Facebook Stories and said, "Did I see the Nth room? You f****** b******s. They say there are 270,000 c**** in the rooms and you don't think you may realistically be one of them too? #If_I'm_An_Abuser_You're_A_XXXX."
His words sparked anger online and Yu-bin was forced to leave an apology on two occasions. He apologized on the 25th writing, "I'm sorry to those who felt anger after seeing the story I posted without thinking. There were people who asked me if I'd ever entered the Nth Room and people who treated all Korean men as criminals so I wrote it in a fit of anger. I dislike all of Cho's rooms including his Nth Room and Baksa rooms. My intention was not to defend them. Irregardless of anything, I have learned a lot from this and will make sure to avoid such mistakes in the future."
His parents bowed their heads in apology over the controversy. His father gave a telephone interview with a media outlet on the 25th and said Yu-bin is suffering from a "fresh-out" (made a mistake because of his young age). The dad appealed to the public to consider his future saying the controversy is a "harsh social death sentence". His mother also released a long message on Twitter apologizing for Yu-bin's rash remarks.
Netizens pointed out "that Yu-bin's parents should be more worried about how to correct their child's wrong perception of sex crimes by raising him right instead of leaving apologies on SNS."
Kim Yu-bin's has since made his Instagram private.
