Shincheon-ji president Lee Man-hee's "special letter" to believers is under suspicion.
In a letter to believers on the 13th, he encouraged them "not to become apostates (defector/traitor)". According to Shincheon-ji officials, the headquarters delivered this special letter to at least 12 top officials.
The letter stated, "We are going through the suffering of martyrs today. We are taking a great test in times of great tribulation." He then listed several verses from the Bible and encouraged them "not be an apostle from chapter 13 of the Revelation but instead an overcomer like the one from Chapter 12."
Despite the criticism that Shincheon-ji were the super-spreaders of the Coronavirus in Korea and aren't cooperating with health officials, Lee Man-hee is continuing to send these "special letters" to believers. According to analysts, this letter is meant to capture those "whose faith in Shincheon-ji is being shaken amid the Corona crisis."
A Shincheon-ji official stated, "The president often sent letters to believers even before the Corona crisis." When asked if the message, "don't be an apostate" means not to leave Shincheon-ji, he denied the allegation saying "he was only citing it because its from the Bible."
- [+5,132, -82] This is a good time to be an apostate if you truly believe in God. What are they doing staying there don't they know they've basically booked a ticket to hell?
- [+1,618, -33] Look at himã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹. That is a face of someone who've mastered the art of fraud. Similar to any politician you meet.
- [+1,304, -30] Those 20,000 young people living in Shincheon-ji neighborhood should be apostates and go home. Lee Man-hee and those 12 officials needs to get arrested!
- [+925, -22] Strange...just looking at that face I can tell he's a pure crook
- [+417, -5] Amazing that this con artist Lee Man-hee is still free...but it's more amazing that there are so many stupid people that follow him so blindly..
- [+192, -11] Shincheon-ji are not christians. They're a vicious organization led by one man who's using God and the Bible to control others. The existence of Shincheon-ji itself is traitorous.
- [+156, -5] Everyone, don't get fooled. I also had a hard time getting my little girl out of there after studying Shincheon-ji religion for six months. Leave that cult and go back to your real families.
