The Girls Generation member appeared on JTBC's "Yurang Market" on the 26th and showed off her Songdo penthouse boosting its luxurious ocean view and modern interior.
On the 9th, it was revealed that Hyoyeon had put up the Songdo apartment for sale for 3.7 billion won (~$3,000,000) drawing criticism that she only appeared on the show to publicize the penthouse in order to boost her profit margins. Hyoyeon had purchased the home in 2012 at 1.25 billion won (~$1,000,000) when the city of Songdo was still up and coming.
A real estate insider stated, "the apartment is likely to be sold at a high price because it's the home of a celebrity that also recently appeared on TV."
