S.E.S Shoo is facing a difficult situation after losing a series of lawsuits in court for gambling debts.
On the 27th, the Seoul District Court Judge Lee Dong Wook ruled in favor of the plaintiff A and asked Shoo to return 346 million won in borrowed funds. Shoo had borrowed gambling money from A who she met in Las Vegas in 2017 but failed to pay back the funds.
In addition, Shoo also lost the company lawsuit against tenants for unpaid deposits. One tenant revealed to MBC in March, "Shoo lost her company suit. Despite the court's order to pay back interest and principal on the bank loan as well as litigation costs and lease payments, she has yet to make any payments nor apologize to tenants. Even though she owns three real estate properties under her mother's name, she keeps saying she has no money. We are suffering everyday not only from the unpaid deposits but also from the Corona. We have filed a petition to ban Shoo's appearance on TV and all media."
In the meantime, Shoo's properties have been seized due to her gambling debts and she has notified tenants that she's not able to pay back their deposits.
