Jung Dong Won's manager A (surnamed "Park") is under further controversy.
On the 20th, a media outlet revealed that trot singer Jung Dong Won's house is solely under his manager A's name, not Jung Dong Won or his family. According to a source from YouTuber Lee Jin Ho's video released on the 19th, "ownership of the building was transferred to his manager A in September 2019."
Of course, having the land and building under A's name isn't a problem legally, however, its uncommon for his building to be registered under someone that isn't in his family register especially since Jung Dong Won is still a minor.
Manager A has been embroiled in controversy for receiving fan donations into her bank account after stating on Jung Dong Won's fan page that she needed the funds to purchase materials in order to build a YouTube broadcasting studio and practice room.
But since Jung Dong Won's house is under manager A's name, fans raised suspicions that manager A collected fan donations to remodel her own house. Fans wrote, "it's hard to understand why the manager would receive donations under his name if Jung Dong Won doesn't own the house. We asked for disclosure of the usage history numerous times but only transfer information was shared."
In exclusive interview to media on the 16th, Jung Dong Won's father stated, "Even though I've been asked to open more sponsorship accounts from various sponsors this week, I continue to refuse such requests. We opened this sponsorship account because when Dong Won's practice room is complete we were planning on engraving the names of the sponsors. Seeing that people were unhappy about it, we closed the account. We also expressed our intention to return or donate the money."
Regarding his manager A, the father stated, "She's someone that has helped Dong Won a lot since his mother passed away. Rumors that she's a stepmother to Dong Won through remarriage are not true."
In the meantime, manager A has continued to remain silent despite repeated requests for contact.
