Drama "Blue Sky" that depicts the world view and growth of BTS has entered full-scale production.
On the 17th, an official from the drama bureau revealed to Daily Sports, "a drama produced by entertainment group Green Snake "Blue Sky" has taken the first step toward production, including auditioning and directing meetings for cast members."
Production of the drama was first revealed earlier this year and will be all about BTS. Producer Kim Jae-hong well known for co-directing JTBC hits 'The Palace Snake-The War of Flowers', 'The Wife Of Your Neighbor', 'Yuna's Street', 'Love Eundong' will direct the drama. The drama is written by Kim Soo Jin who co-authored 'Old Smith Diary', 'I Live in Cheongdam-dong' and 'Songgeot.'
The drama is about BTS members school days all the way to their debut days with some fictional elements for their family background as well as their school memories. The character's names will not be real names of BTS members. Production team is still figuring out whether to use new names for each character as this will be based on which member it matches best with.
The production team is currently holding auditions for its major actors and filming will begin in September after script readings.
If production goes as planned it'll still be impossible for the drama to air this year and are currently discussing plans to air next year on various platforms including OTT i.e not on TV.
