Former Big Bang member Seungri's partner and Park Han Byul's husband Yoo In-Seok to undergo trial.
On the morning of the 2nd, the 26th Criminal Department of the Seoul Central District Court is scheduled to hold its first trial against Yoo In Seok, CEO of Yuri Holdings and five other people for "Burning Sun" charges to include embezzlement, prostitution mediation, violation of the Food Sanitation Act and aggravated punishment of certain economic crimes.
Yoo In-seok was questioned by police in March 2019 on charges of arranging prostitution and was known at the time as one of the so-called "tokbang group chat members," including Jung Joon Young, Choi Jong-hun and Seungri. He especially suspected of leading the arrangement of prostitution. In particular, he was suspected of having a close relationship with police and helped F.T Island's Choi Jonghun cover up his drunk driving report.
In the meantime, Choi Jong-hun was handed over to trial on charges of expressing his intention to give bribes and was sentenced to probation in the first trial.
As for Seungri, his case was handed over to the military court after he joined the army in March.
