YouTuber Song Dae-ik is under controversy for false claims on broadcast.
On the 28th, Song Dae-ik aired a video of himself eating pizza and chicken delivered from the "Chicken Princess Pizza Nara" store. He showed off two slices of pizza and a piece of chicken that had a bite taken out of it and claimed "the delivery driver ate his chicken."
He called the store while on broadcast and demanded a refund and the store apologized for the incident but refused to give a refund.
However after the broadcast aired, it was revealed the Song Dae-ik's claims were false. Another YouTuber Jung Young-woo stated, "I talked directly to the manager of the store and he stated that the incident never happened. When I contacted the headquarters, I was told that they'll be filing a lawsuit against Song Dae-ik for defamation for causing great damage to the store's operations."
Pizza Nara official also addressed allegations writing, "We checked with the store and it's not true at all. Song Dae-ik will regret his malicious slander against an innocent franchise."
Song Dae-ik has since deleted the video and turned off comment section on some of his videos.
Meanwhile, Song Dae-ik is a popular YouTuber with over 1.34 million subscribers. In October last year, his net monthly income was about 100 million won (~$83,000).
- [+3,223, -8] Wait...are you saying these thug YouTubers that live recklessly like this are making that much money? Did I see that right?
- [+1,724, -8] Isn't the malicious claims on the delivery driver because he never actually ate the chicken as he's claiming? The worst case scenario is the store closes down. Police need to investigate that YouTuber's content for false claims and file a criminal complaint. Delete his YouTube channel too.
- [+1,233, -6] That part-timer must've been so pissed off...how much did he earn for that delivery? Hopefully the part-timer can be compensated too.
- [+543, -8] What..? Is he crazy? He really made the delivery guy and store suffer like that?
- [+336, -2] What kind of thug ba$tard would take a bite and put it back for delivery?ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹
- [+166, -1] I can't believe 1 million people signed up to watch this comedyã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹
- [+164, -10] Let's boycott Song Dae-ik's bar 1943 too. I can't believe someone that runs his own business is doing this kind of broadcast. Let him try to pull himself up by his own bootstraps.
- [+98, -0] Don't let him post some fake apology and deep reflection crap. File a formal complaint with Afreeca TV and YouTube so that he's permanently suspended to prevent thug ba$tards like him from broadcasting in the future.
