Former Big Bang member Seungri (Lee Seunghyun, 31) is facing new indictments.
On top of charges of arranging prostitution for foreign investors, prosecutors have charged Seungri with 'special assault' for mobilizing gangsters after a drinking dispute.
According to military court officials on the 14th, Seungri informed Yoo In-seok, former Yuri Holdings CEO, that he was having a dispute while drinking with his acquaintances at a bar in Gangnam Seoul at the December 2015 and Yoo called up gangsters he knew to threaten the victims.
Military prosecutors judged that Seungri mobilized a gang by conspiring with Yoo but Seungri has denied the allegations and decided to submit a written opinion later.
As a result, Seungri is now being indicted in military court for a total of 9 charges to include arranging prostitution for foreign investors, embezzling 500 million won of 'Burning Sun' funds, gambling overseas for 2 billion won and more.
Yoo was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison in December last year.
Seungri is currently undergoing trial in military court.
