(G)I-dle's Soojin victim B is refuting her statements and stating they're fake.
On the 20th, victim B's attorney Hae Yul's Chu Sae-ah revealed to Sports Kyunghyang, "We are taking legal action because the victim's honor has been defamed because of Soojin, her agency and fans. I saw Soojin and her agency's official statement but its very different from the facts. Since they've defamed the victim, we will respond with additional evidence."
B's lawyer stated, "Soojin and her agency are saying the reason why Soojin didn't attend the first meeting is because the victim didn't want to so they arranged a meeting with her agency reps. This is not true. The DMs clearly show her agency's legal team first asked for a meeting and B said she didn't want to meet the legal team because they're not the people that bullied the victim and the perpetrator hadn't even acknowledged or apologized properly?"
"Her fans are also sending hate comments and notes to the victims. I know that the fans are cheering for her from their hearts but I want them to think they can be a victim too. Blindly cheering on someone can have a negative impact on society."
"We are going to take legal action as the victim's lawyer. Her agency filed a red anti-corruption complaint against the victim, we are seriously speechless."
"The victim faced extreme fear in the second confrontation with Soojin. I saw the Katalk DM's exchanged and B said after talking to Soojin she got extremely scared and deflated. She went back to the mentality of the scared middle schooler facing her bully. As soon as she sat in front of Soojin, she couldn't say anything, her hands trembled so much to the point she couldn't think of anything."
"In her statements, Soojin denied being called in front of Hakbang Committee for bullying and said after meeting up with the victim, B gave false interview to the media saying Soojin didn't acknowledge her mistake. But that's not what happened. At the time, B said Soojin didn't admit to bullying until the end consistent with her attitude that "she couldn't remember." B never commented about Soojin going in front of a Hakbang committee in the magazine interview."
He added, "we have secured more evidences like additional witnesses and testimonies. We are taking her statements as additional assault to the victim beyond the first assault and we'll reveal everything."
