BoA (Kwon Bo Ah, 34)'s drug smuggling charges have been dismissed by the prosecution.
On the 4th, SM released a statement to address charges against BoA for smuggling an anti-psychotropic sleep inducing drug Zolpidem from Japan last year under an SM employee's name.
SM stated, "We would like to inform you that at the end of May the prosecution decided not to indict BoA regarding charges reported last year. Our staff that delivered the sleeping pills prescribed to BoA did not properly understand the relevant laws and regulations so he didn't properly comply with drug approval procedures, the domestic delivery process and the deficiencies that arose. The prosecution has taken this into account and both BoA and our staff have not been prosecuted. We bow our head once again for causing concern through this incident."
