Driving instructor found to have illegally filmed molka of female students and famous celebrities

Police have arrested an instructor in his 30s for illegally filming his female students.

According to an exclusive report by SBS on the 18th, last month, a woman in her 20s (A) found a secretly taken sex video of herself on her boyfriend (B)'s katalks that he had shared with acquaintances. A asked him to delete it to prevent further distribution but he gave her his cell phone without the sim inserted. She went to search his car (with his consent) to find the missing sim card but instead found traces of a small camera installed under the driver's seat.

B had worked in Seoul for 4 years at a driving agency and the agency's website highlighted that they had opened a professional training course for beginner female drivers in Korea. He had trained over 100 female students in his car many of whom were women and some were famous celebrities. 

Evidence of his crimes were revealed in katalks to acquaintances where he was seen in August 2019 sending a picture of woman in the driver's seat wearing shorts and wrote, "This won't do. I'll have to buy a miniature camera and put it under the steering wheel." 

A few days later, he installed a camera in driver's seat and sent a photo of another female student wearing a skirt that exposed her underwear and said, "isn't she pretty." 

At times, he would also send over sex tapes and photos of female students he slept with.

When an acquaintance asked if he was scared of getting caught, he laughed and said, "I'll never get caught. I'd never fall like Jung Joon Young."

A's lawyer revealed, "we were able to obtain backups of his Naver Cloud account and restore katalks and videos he had deleted. It appears there are many victims from the time he first installed the camera to when his crimes were discovered. 

The Seoul Gwanak Police also conducted a search and seize of B's home and were able to secure additional evidence and applied for an arrest warrant on the 17th.
