Former SNSD member Jessica Jung's fashion company is embroiled in billion won lawsuit.
According to local media, Joy King Enterprises filed a complaint with Hong Kong High Court on the 24th accusing Jessica of not paying 8.05 billion won (~ $6.8 million) debt for her fashion company.
Jessica withdrew from Girls Generation and founded her fashion brand 'Blanc & Eclare' in August 2014 and the company is run by her Korean-American businessman boyfriend Tyler Kwon.
According to the report, Blanc & Eclare borrowed 3.54 billion won (~$3 million) and 1.18 billion won (~$1 million) from Spectra SPC twice in October 2016 and May 2017. Afterwards, Joy King signed a loan transfer agreement in August with Spectra after Blanc & Eclare failed to repay the money on loan due date on the 10th. As a result, Joy King filed a lawsuit against CEO Tyler Kwon to repay the money including principal and accrued interest.
Jessica and Tyler have been dating 8 years and in April, Tyler shared couple photo to commemorate her birthday and wrote, "My best friend" and showed off their unchanging affection for 8 years.
Meanwhile, Jessica was scheduled to appear on r/kpop's talk on September 23rd however the event was suddenly postponed hours before it was scheduled to be held.
