Seo Ye-ji has announced return to the entertainment industry after 7 months of controversy.
According to reports, her new tvN "chaebol" drama 'Eve's Scandal' began filming in earnest on the 21st with Seo Ye-ji scheduled to start filming on the 24th.
'Eve's Scandal' is a romantic melodrama that deals with the story of a chaebol's 2 trillion won divorce lawsuit that turned Korea upside down. Seo Ye-ji will be filming alongside actors Lee Sang Yeop, Yoo Seon and Park Byung-eun.
Seo Ye-ji will take on role of 'Lee Ra El', a female protagonist who was born to genius father and a beautiful mother, but turns into a character with fatal charm after going through an unfortunate past.
Seo Ye-ji gained popularity last year with the successful tvN drama 'Psycho But It's Okay' however, had to drop out of OCN drama 'Ireland' and announced hiatus after various controversies over alleged gaslighting, bullying, forgery of her academic background and 'gapjil [staff abuse].'
Despite the scandals, Seo Ye-ji showed off her power winning 'Popularity Award' at Baeksang Awards.
In June, two months after series of scandals and without any clarifications or apology, Seo Ye-ji shared a post on fancafe writing, "it must be great to have someone you trust" drawing attention.
Meanwhile, there is growing interest whether her new drama will succeed despite her many scandals.
