Nu'est has announced disbandment after 10 years.

On the 28th, Pledis Entertainment issued an official statement through WeVerse and stated, "Nu'est exclusive contract will end on March 14th. We have been thinking and discussing with the members for a long time about the future of the group. After careful considerations, JR, Aron, and Ren decided to leave the company and start anew. Baekho and Minhyun renewed their contracts with us. "

"As the decision was made after considering everyone's thoughts and discussions, we will respect and support the choices of the members. The last album to be released in March will conclude the group's activities with Pledis and Nu'est."

Later, a post was shared on Pann criticizing HYBE for disbanding it's merger groups. The author wrote, "first they disbanded GFriend after the merger, now Nu'est. Fromis_9 is currently active but they're in danger too. They acquire agencies when they feel like they don't have enough idol groups only to use them and throw them out. Once they debut new rookie idol groups like Enhypen and TXT, suddenly they don't care about their other groups anymore ㅋㅋ. Ah ~ f*cking Bang Si-hyuk seriously ㅋㅋ."

1. [+310, -30] No, I'm honestly curious, why is HYBE to blame for Nu'est disbandment??? Their contracts expired and only two chose to renew with the agency. If the company was that trash would the two have chosen to stay? Just like GFriend.

The use value of their merger groups is declining so of course they're throwing them out. They threw out GFriend too once their music wasn't making an impact anymore. Before HYBE took over, they were all top-ranked idols alongside powerhouses like TWICE, Blackpink and Red Velvet. After HYBE, they all started coming out with strange concepts and began falling apart.
11. [+31, -2] GFriend's disbandment is still a mystery. It's obvious they were prepping for a comeback but all of a sudden their schedules got canceled. Why the sudden disbandment? Sowon even said it was unfair and had a lot to say but promised to reveal it later.
