SM stocks are dropping following aespa Ning Ning's "gold medal" controversy.
On the 8th, after reports surfaced about Ning Ning's messages on Bubble congratulating China, SM Entertainment's stock price fell by 1.49% from the previous day. It rose once again pre-market however it began declining again in the afternoon and dropped to 66,200 won.
Meanwhile, Ning Ning is currently under controversy for congratulating China for winning the gold medal at a time when public opinion against China is deteriorating due to Korean athletes being disqualified for unknown reasons in the men's 1000m final speed skating short track competition.
