Investigations reveal G-IDLE's Soojin was a school bully that forced students to "slap" each other + Cube terminates her exclusive contract

Former (G)I-DLE member Seo Soojin has been revealed to be a school bully. 

On the 5th, Cube Entertainment announced, "we would like to inform you that our exclusive contract with Seo Soojin has been terminated. In response to the controversy raised in February last year, our agency worked at length with Seo Soojin to determine the authenticity and uncover the truth through a police investigation, however, ultimately, the police concluded that the accusers were "not guilty" of spreading false information therefore "no charges" were filed."

"We respect the results of the police investigation and bow our heads in apology for causing concern to many people with this incident." 

Soojin was embroiled in controversy in February last year after a netizen revealed through an online community that she was a school bully in middle school. A alleged, "Soojin called out my dongsaeng and her friends to the bathroom, forced them to slap each other and sent group texts bullying her."

At the time, Seo Soojin maintained her innocence and filed a defamation suit against A at the Gangnam police station. However, afterwards, additional exposers came out and she faced even bigger headwinds. She eventually halted all activities and left the group in August of last year. 

However, 7 months after leaving the group, Cube Entertainment has terminated her exclusive contract after investigation results revealed the accusers were acquitted of spreading false information.

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE who reorganized as a five-member group following Soojin exit will be making a comeback with their first full-length album 'I Never Die' on the 14th.
