Former EXO Kris (Wu Yifan) has been sentenced to 13 years in prison and deportation.
According to local Chinese media on the 25th, the Beijing Chaoyang District People's Court sentenced Kris to 11.5 years in prison for r*pe and 1 year and 10 months in prison for mass obscenity for a total of 13 years in prison and deportation abroad at the end of the his sentence.
Kris was charged with sexual assault of 3 women using same tactics and r*pe of an intoxicated woman at his home between Nov and Dec 2022. In addition, on July 1, 2018, he was accused of colluding with another person and engaging in lewd behavior (orgy) with two women at his home.
The Court stated, "Kris' actions constitute r*pe and mass indecency and must be punished according to the law."
In July of last year, Kris was arrested on charges of sexual assault against a minor. At the time, the Chinese Public Security Bureau stated "they were conducting investigations into allegations raised online that Kris lured minors to have sex on several occasions."
While being investigated in custody, he was charged with r*pe and mass obscenity last June, 10 months after his arrest, and put on trial.
Meanwhile, Kris made his debut with EXO in 2012 and filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment in 2014 to confirm the non-existence of his exclusive contract and withdrew from the group.
