YG Entertainment stocks are plummeting.
On the 21st, a media outlet reported that only Rosé has renewed her contract. According to multiple industry officials, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa have terminated their contracts with YG and are moving to other agencies. However, the 3 are still in "last minute" discussions with YG to determine whether they can still promote 6 months out of the year as part of Blackpink for a "separate but together" strategy.
Following media reports, YG stocks plummeted over 13% just before the market closed on the 21st. As of 3:24pm, YG stocks were trading at 69,200 won, down 10,600 won (13.28%) from the previous day.
Meanwhile, Blackpink existing contract expired in August and market attention has been focused on whether the contract will be renewed.
