Following actor Lee Sung-kyun (48)'s arrest, Big Bang G-Dragon has also been booked.
According to an exclusive News1 report on the 25th, Incheon Police booked GD on charges of violating the Narcotics Management Act. After booking actor Lee, police carried out a compulsory investigation and identified G-Dragon for abusing drugs.
A police official stated, "This is an ongoing investigation so we cannot reveal specific details."
Actor Lee Sung-kyun was arrested on charges of abusing marijuana and psychotropic drugs after police received information in September and opened investigations into a woman A (29), the manager of an entertainment establishment. After confirming A had abused Philopon, they applied for an arrest warrant and A was arrested on the 21st.
Afterwards, through A, police learned of actor Lee Sung-kyun's marijuana abuse and after investigations, arrested the actor and another employee from the establishment. Lee is currently suing A for blackmail, claiming he was defrauded out of 350 million won from A's blackmail and threats over drugs.
In addition to Lee and A, police also arrested another suspect. It's reported that a total of 5 people were arrested including a 3rd gen chaebol family member (Hwang Hana).
