"Not classified as PM." (Yongsan-seo)
It has been confirmed that the electric scooter Suga drove was not a personal mobility device. In this case, he will be subject to criminal punishment in the same manner as drunk driving in a car.
On the 9th, a Yongsan Police Department official told Dispatch in a phone call, "Suga was driving an electric scooter. After checking the device, it was concluded that it's not classified as PM."
PM (Personal Mobility) refers to a mobility device with a maximum speed of less than 25km and a vehicle weight of less than 30kg. Low speed electric mobility devices are referred to as PMs.
The scooter Suga drove falls under a 'motorized bicycle.' In this case, he will be subject to criminal punishment in the same manner as drunk driving in a car.
A police officer explained, "If you drive a PM, you'll only receive administrative punishment. But Suga's scooter was not a PM. Therefore, you're criminally subject to punishment in the same manner as drunk driving in a car."
According to the Road Traffic Act, drunk driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or higher is subject to imprisonment for 1 or 2 years or a fine of 5-10 million won.
The police investigation schedule has not been set yet. Police plan to comprehensively investigate the extent of damage caused his drunk driving, driving distance, circumstances, and whether he has a criminal record.
As this incident occurred outside of working hours, there will be no separate disciplinary action as a social worker according to a statement from Military Manpower Administration (MMA).
Meanwhile, Suga's driving license has been revoked.
- [+631, -1] He pulled the same numbers and decimal point as that actress who hit a transformer and blacked out an entire city.. ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ he was not just drunk but f*cking plastered
- [+608, -15] Don't even think of crawling out
- [+505, -3] His license should be revoked. If an ordinary person would've done that their license would be revoked and they'd be cursed in the news comment sections.. there's no reason not to do that for him too. BTS or not.. he should be punished properly.
- [+473, -7] In the end, BTS ended up with a criminal too
- [+455, -23] Please withdraw
- [+320, -3] He did that, as a public servant, on a weekday, with a blood alcohol content level equivalent to drinking 3 bottles of soju, riding a scooter not a kickboard, on the 10-lane Hannam Road. He was not 500m by his house, he was riding in the opposite direction away from his house and not towards it and then passed out on the streets when he was caught by police.. the apology was a lie from beginning to end.
- [+232, -2] Wow, 0.227.. that's a number I've never seen before.. that's really high. I looked it up and it says he's #1 among idols and #2 in the entire entertainment industry.. his also level is also the highest!
- [+194, -1] It's a good thing that he was caught now.. he must've done this more than once or twice, bringing a scooter and helmet on drinking day. It was only a matter of time until he caused a big accident and become a criminal who killed off an entire life and other victims from his drunk driving.
- [+148, -2] Quitting isn't even realistic at this point, he needs to retire from the entertainment industry!
- [+130, -0] 0.227, that's the state of intoxication that you get from drinking 4 bottles of soju.. It's the first time an idol has scored above 0.2.
- [+100, -6] Suga-ya, if you have even the least bit of affection left for your group, quit!
- [+93, -0] Even quitting isn't enough now, it's ok if he doesn't exist.
- [+88, -72] I'm ARMY but I don't want him in BTS anymore.. don't associate with BTS. BTS has 6 members + ARMY = 7
