Former president Moon Jae-in's daughter Moon Da-hye (41) has been arrested.
On the 5th, Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced they had booked Da-hye on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
According to police, Da-hye was driving a Casper vehicle while intoxicated in front of the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul at around 3:00am when she collided with a taxi that was following her while changing lanes. The taxi driver, who was the victim, suffered minor injuries, including a sore neck. Police later determined that Da-hye's blood alcohol level was 0.14%, at the level of having her license revoked (0.08% or higher). Moon is scheduled to appear at Yongsan Police Station on the morning of the 7th for police questioning.
Da-hye is also currently facing a summons from the prosecution for questioning in connection with her ex-husband Mr. Seo, who is suspected of preferential employment at Thai Star Jet. On the 2nd, prosecution conducted a forensic analysis of confiscated items, included her cell phone, at the Digital Forensics Center of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office in Seocho-gu, Seoul in relation to the preferential hiring of her ex-husband Mr. Seo, and suspicion of support of Moon's family on immigration to Thailand. Forensics was reportedly conducted under the coordination of the schedules of the prosecution and Moon's defense attorney.
Previously, on August 30th, the prosecution searched and seized Moon's residence in Jongno-gu, Seoul, her office in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul and her villa in Jeju. Prosecution planned to call her in as a witness for questioning as soon as her forensic analysis of the confiscated items was completed.
Regarding whether the investigation schedule would be disrupted by the drunk driving accident, a prosecution official stated, "Whether or not to investigate Moon Da-hye will be decided after analyzing the confiscated items that have undergone forensic analysis. Nothing has been decided yet as it's currently under analysis."
- [+4,235, -44] This was Moon Jae-in on October 10, 2018 in a meeting with senior secretaries at the Yeongmin Hall of the Blue House, "There is a petition on the Blue House National Petition Bulletin Board calling for stricter punishments for drunk driving accidents that has received over 250,000 recommendations. Just like the petition says, drunk driving accidents are not mistakes; they can be murder or an act that completely destroys another person's life.."

- [+495, -6] Daebak.. a former president's daughter going to Thailand to live while her father is in office and then following him to Yangsan to sell calendars after he retires.. now she's come all the way to Seoul driving drunk and causing accidents.. what a wonderful home.. "
- [+307, -10] That Casper Da-hye drove, wasn't it the same one Moon Jae-in boasted about buying when he was in the Blue House?

- [+183, -3] Moon Jae-in's daughter has been in quite a precarious position for a while now.. she's finally become a nationally hated person too. She's really acting out in all sorts of ways.. why isn't she reflecting.. does she not realize the price for digging her own grave?
- [+132, -4] The powerful chaebols that used to treat drunk driving like attempted murder are all of a sudden treating it like some petty crimeã…‹ã…‹ã…‹. When its an idol or celebrity doing drunk driving, they get angry and try to kill them publicly but all of a sudden they're as quiet as ghosts now..
- [+121, -0] What else is left to see.. a mother with a child, driving after drinking until 3 in the morning? She kept talking about how she got hit by a rock thrown by someone and now she's the one throwing it.. what a low class b*tch
- [+62, -0] I seriously laughed out loud the minute I saw the articleã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹. How can someone be so hypocritical?? Stick to the basics if you're going to be confident.. DUI accidents are in the news day after day, this clearly shows what kind of judicial system she thinks and lives by. If your father is a former president, shouldn't you at least try to live well upholding the law?? There's no way this is the first time.. how many times has she been doing it before she got caught? How can the Democratic Party be so two-faced? They're cosplaying in front of the common folk pretending to be on the victim's side.. tsk tsk hypocrites tsk
- [+30, -0] Investigate her for drugs too!
