More details regarding New Jeans contract termination have been revealed.

On the morning of the 29th, the day after the press conference, New Jeans released a certified mail reply sent by ADOR. According to the letter, ADOR wrote, "Many of the issues the artist claims to be violations of their exclusive contract are words and actions of third parties, not ADOR. ADOR has faithfully fulfilled the important provisions of the exclusive contract such as solicitation, negotiation, support, settlement, and provision of settlement materials for entertainment activities. We hope the members are open to a conversation."

New Jeans emphasized again through an official statement that their exclusive contracts were terminated as of midnight on the 29th. The members had previously sent a certified letter to ADOR on the 13th demanding that "they correct serious violations of their exclusive contract and would terminate the contract if the demands were not corrected within 14 days." The press conference was held exactly on the 14th day and during the press conference, member Hanni revealed that "even though work hours are over today, HYBE and ADOR showed no signs of improvement or will to listen to their demands."

New Jeans stated, "we plan to leave ADOR and freely do the activities we truly want. We will proceed with all schedules promised and contracted so far. We many not be able to use the name New Jeans for the time being regardless of our will but the essence of the five of us as New Jeans will never change. We have no intention of giving up the name New Jeans."

The industry estimates that New Jeans' penalty for termination of their exclusive contract is around 400-600 billion won. In addition, while New Jeans claims HYBE and ADOR were non-responsive to their demands, reports reveal that the certified mail reply to New Jeans was sent around 7pm on the 28th, an hour before the start of New Jeans' press conference at 8:30pm and 5 hours before the midnight deadline.

  1. [+828, -225] These kids are being gaslighted by Min Heejin. They got so popular so quickly and earned a lot of money at such a young age so they're feeling like they're invisible. This will be an opportunity for them to learn that this world isn't that easyㅋㅋ
  2. [+563, -154] A total mess. In short, there's nothing see. Is that a reason to terminate an exclusive contract?! They might as well say it's because of Min Heejin. HYBE needs to sue them properly and win damages for the penalty so that this worthless idol won't cause trouble again. This is the 2nd sampoon incident..
  3. [+321, -64] How can a society be maintained if anyone can break a contract at will? Shouldn't the members be figuring out whether or not they're obligated to pay the penalty first??!
  4. [+307, -98] The deposit alone is probably a lot.. do they think they can leave without paying the deposit?
  5. [+224, -26] "We won't pay the deposit, won't give up the name New jeans, we'll keep all our CFs and schedules.." do they think they can just cleanly leave HYBE and start over with Min Hee jin?? Such ingratitude and greed.. goodbye! You're done!
  6. [+94, -4] The brand 'New Jeans' is a company product with an asset value of hundreds of billions. Do they think the contract is terminated just because they unilaterally declare it is and notify that they're terminating it?? Did no one advise them about all the issues this will bring and what will happen to their future in the industry?? Aigoo ㅋㅋㅋ
  7. [+90, -2] HYBE is a listed company and a major shareholder of ADOR holding 80% of the company shares. If ADOR fails to collect the penalty upon termination of the New Jeans contract, it will be a breach of trust against HYBE shareholders so the lawsuit will have to go all the way. Who on earth incited these kids to take on a fight of this scale and magnitude without justification that has zero chance of winning??!
  8. [+44, -1] They're coming off like chodings who don't know anything. Contracts are no joke.. looks like the mentals of kids these days is the issue.
  9. [+43, -1] An idol with a short shelf-like shortening their own life. Did they forget how Fifty Fifty hit rockbottom with their greed? If they get hit with a 600 billion lawsuit, even if it's 1/10th instead of half, you have to pay for all the troubles you caused so far! Above all, Min Hee-jin doesn't have the money to take responsibility for you either.. it's even questionable whether or not anyone can help them.. they've become a bomb like spot investment now..
  10. [+41, -2] Birth of a new idiot ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
  11. [+40, -2] They really don't get it. ㅋㅋㅋ . Do they have some hidden public opinion card to get HYBE to surrender? No.. do they think declaring 'You violated the contract, this is our notification of contract termination,' that's its terminated? Even if HYBE surrenders and gives up their exclusive contract by chance, that means they're just going to disband New Jeansㅋㅋㅋ. Are they prepared to be solo idols??
  12. [+34, -1] They're going to disappear off the industry. Looks like Min Hee-jin ordered it and the parents complied. Poor kids are on a head-on collision and have no clue ㅋㅋ.
