The arrest warrant for Chinese woman MD Anna has been dismissed in Court.
On April 19th, Burning Sun MD Anna made an appearance in Seoul Central District Court and was questioned over suspicions of drug use and distribution. After questioning, the Court dismissed her arrest warrant stating, "while the defendant (Anna) has admitted to taking drugs, the suspicions of drug distribution weren't included in the criminal offenses listed on the arrest warrant request. We consider the arrest to be unnecessary."
On the same day, the arrest warrant for Burning Sun CEO Lee Munho was approved by the head judge Lim Min Sung. The head judge approved the warrant stating, "the court recognizes that a considerable amount of the facts substitute a criminal offense. Because there's a potential of destruction of evidence I will approve the request."
Lee Munho is under suspicion of violating the Control of Narcotics Act. The first arrest warrant requested by Police for drug use was dismissed by court and the police filed the request again after conducting a hair and urine test that came back positive.
With regards to Anna, the police have yet to confirm anything beyond the drug use but are expanding their investigations into the drug distribution charges.
