Park Yoochun has adamantly denied coercing his ex-gf Hwang Hana to take drugs.

Hwang Hana is suspected of illegally taking meth between May-Sept 2015 as well as two other drugs in April last year that included psychotropic drug Clonazepam. In response, during investigation, Hwang Hana admitted to taking drugs but claimed that she was forced to take them because of a celebrity's recommendation. She wanted to quit the drug but she took it under pressure from celebrity 'A' and revealed that 'A' forced the drug on her to put her to sleep. As such, because of the strong allegations, a lot of netizens speculated about the identity of 'A'.

To address the speculations of him being celebrity 'A', Park Yoochun held a press conference on Thursday April 10th at 6:00pm at the Maehwa Hall at the press center in Sejong-daero, Central Seoul. First, his agency C-Jes Entertainment began by saying that Park Yoochun had been mentioned in Hwang's statement for the drug allegations so they held the press conference to state their position on the allegations. "Unfortunately, we will not have an Q&A session today," he continued.

C-Jes revealed that Yoochun had been contacted by the Police. Park Yoochun then appeared and said, "I had many thoughts and worries before coming. It was a very difficult time.  However after gathering courage, I decided on holding this [press conference] because I thought it was right for me to speak about everything honestly in person," he began. "I never did drugs," he continued. "I was afraid that I could be mistaken as the celebrity 'A' mentioned by Hwang Hana in the drug investigation. I have never done drugs and I was afraid that they would turn me into someone who used drugs even though I've never done such a thing. So I thought I should talk to the investigation agency even though I hadn't been summoned. "

In particular, Yoochun also addressed his break up with Hwang Hana. The couple ended their engagement on April 2017. Park Yoochun said, "First of all, I decided to break up with Hwang Hana early last year and we broke up. After the break up, she threatened me but nevertheless because she is someone who liked me and stood by me when I was going through a tough time and thought the world was against me, because I felt a sense of responsibility, I felt sorry." Park Yoochun confessed that Hana tried to contact him to come to his house and complained. He said, "It was so painful that I had to take sleeping pills just to fall asleep.  I knew that Hwang Hana also had sleeping pills because she suffered from depression," he said. "But I have nothing to do with those pills, she never even told me that she was taking them."

Yoochun also said that he learned about Hwang Hana's drug use through the media. He said,"I was very surprised and saddened by the news. But I never did drugs or invited her to. I criticized myself everyday and endured a painful moment to regain my acting activities." Lastly, he said, "It's unimaginable that I used drugs only to ruin all my efforts. I will be sincerely investigated at the Police Station. The reason why I'm here is my fear that my entertainment career would be over If I didn't address these allegations. So I came here with a desperate heart. Thank you for coming here. Thank you very much for listening to my story," he said.

As such, Park Yoochun expressed his resentment, saying that he is desperate. He revealed his strong stance against the drug allegations, even putting his life on the line. Above all, the controversy will be frustrating as Park was starting to return to his career. Yoochun has put forward a super-powerful denial of the allegations at the press conference and now the focus is on whether he will be able to clear up the suspicions during investigation.
