#CreditHanbin trends worldwide after YG fails to properly credit B.I for "Worthless"

Fans are trending hashtag #CreditHanbin for YG's failure to properly credit iKON's B.I.

Member Eun Ji Won from YG Entertainment group Sechskies is set to release his first solo album "G1" on the 27th. The official tracklist that was released publicly on the 26th showed features from fellow agency artists like WINNER's Mino and Millenium.

One track in particular gained the attention of iKON fans worldwide. Track No. 4 "Worthless" gave composer credits to only one label artist Millenium (Choi Raesung) who has yet to make his debut in YG. But after listening to the song's preview, fans pointed out that the song was exactly the same song former iKON leader and member B.I had spoiled to the fans during a live streaming session on V Live. The song credits, however, failed to disclose that B.I was a co-composer of the song.

Fans took to Twitter to express their anger and disappointment with YG Entertainment for failing to credit the former agency artist properly and trending the hashtag #CreditHanbin:

In response to the allegations, a source from YG Entertainment released a statement via JoyNews24 and explained, "Worthless" is a song that was co-composed by B.I and Millenium. We didn't include B.I's name in the tracklist because he asked us not to. His name will be credited in the official KOMCA copyright listing as the co-composer of the track."

In response to the statement, fans brought up a similar issue previously where Hanbin had also not been properly credited as the co-composer of BLACKPINK's debut track 'Whistle.'

What are your thoughts on the controversy? Are the fans exaggerating or is their anger justified?
