CNBlue Jung Yong-hwa has been discharged from the military.
On November 3rd, the singer met with 1,000 fans from home and abroad who had been waiting in advance in front of his discharge location in Gandong-myeon, Gangwon Province.
Yonghwa greeted the fans happily and stated, "Thanks to your support I was able to complete military service in good health. I underwent some personal growth during my time away therefore our separation was not in vain. I will show you a more mature self in the future."
Jung Yonghwa entered the 15th Division Recruitment College in Hwacheon on March 5th last year where he completed his 5-week basic training and enlisted in the 2nd corps 702 Commando Regiment. The 702 Squadron unit is one of the most elite special forces in the army's infantry. He completed all his training with excellent grades and graduated with exemplary service. He was also selected as one of the top-level combatants and received early promotion and won several training awards.
Starting next month, Yonghwa plans to hold concerts and fan meetings at home and abroad and meet fans who waited for him during his service. He's also reviewing several drama scripts and is expected to return to acting next year.
