Italian singer Seiell is under criticism for plagiarizing a BTS song.
Seiell released his new song 'scenne nenne' on the 29th along with a music video on YouTube. When fans heard the song, many stated that the melody on his intro was very similar to BTS' song 'Fake Love'. When ARMY asked for clarifications stating that he plagiarized BTS song, he eventually deleted the song in question from his official YouTube channel. However, the song is still being distributed on streaming platforms like Spotify and Amazon Music.
In addition, he shared a photo sticker of BTS members on his Instagram story with a short snippet of his rap song. The lyrics were full of racist and sexual harassment expressions like "f*** off b****", "a message I send to girls..." "Fake love like your songs anyway.."colorless people get out of the house, have sex with each other and make up like prostitutes.."
However, as the criticism grew, he made his Instagram private on the 9th after a message that said, "I never even knew BTS existed before releasing this song. I'm being unjustly accused and defamed by people from all over the world. I hope you will stop with such groundless accusations."
