Kim Sung Jae (Deux)'s ex-girlfriend (A) has expressed her position regarding a broadcast about Kim death.
The Seoul Southern District Court's 51st Civil Agreement was held behind closed doors on the 18th where A requested an injunction against broadcasting an episode about the late singer's death. A was handed over to trial on charges of murder after Kim Seung Jae's death in 1995 and was acquitted after an appeal to the Supreme Court.
She expressed her stance with her lawyer after the closed door hearing that lasted about an hour and stated, "Recently, a lot of famous celebrities committed suicide because of malicious comments. The damage caused to those who suffer from malicious comments is unrecoverable. I hope that the court will prevent the broadcast from airing."
She added, "There's nothing particularly different from the last time but they're trying to air it again. They're just trying one more time to see if they'll be able to broadcast it."
A lawyer from SBS side stated, "There's is a reason why the court wanted to proceed with the hearing privately. It's hard for me to talk about the case."
On August 21st, SBS announced plans to air a mystery titled "28 Needle Marks - The Mysterious death of The Late Kim Sung Jae" but A filed an injunction to ban the broadcast. At the time, the court stated, "It's hard to say that the episode is solely for the benefit of the public" and approved a provisional ban on the broadcast.
An official from SBS stated on the 17th, "Since the trial for the provisional ban last year, we have received a lot of petitions and reports on Kim Sung Jae's case. We have received lots of new facts and meaningful tips from the public."
- [+2,933, -9] We really want to know what happened. Please broadcast it. I'm one of those people that signed the petition.
- [+2,873, -13] Isn't it normal to want to know why your lover died and if he was murdered? It's more strange that she's trying to block it.
- [+1,446, -5] What could be worse than a sudden death of a young man in his early 20s?
- [+750, -6] Make sure to air it this time.
- [+514, -6] You have to broadcast it!
- [+336, -5] The ex-girlfriend's actions are really strange. Wouldn't you want to cast aside suspicions by cooperating with the broadcast? But instead she's filed an injunction for the second time. It's really suspicious. Her mom also said a couple days ago that she's going to file an appeal because she's so upset for her daughter?
- [+319, -2] She's the killer~
- [+277, -2] Why is she making such a fuss about it? I've never seen a case where the ex-gf files a lawsuit to block a broadcast that's trying to scientifically solve the murder of her dead lover after receiving new tips. Is she afraid of seeing his ghost on broadcast?
- [+192, -3] If she's innocent why is she trying to block the broadcast?? It's even more suspicious. Her behaviour is disgusting. I'm suspicious of what she's going to do now that they've received new tips on the case.
- [+181, -2] Judge Bang Jungwoo who helped the assailant last time is in charge again? This is like trying to win with a bad card on GoStop.
- [+153, -2] Can't you look at it as your honor will be restored if the episode airs? If you don't want to be cast with suspicion why block it? What are you so afraid of? Are you worried you won't be able to get away with it anymore?
- [+143, -2] I'm curious why a celebrity so loved died so suddenly. Why are you so desperate to stop it even after 20 years?
- [+116, -1] If you can't air the broadcast then do another investigation.
- [+86, -1] If you didn't do it why do you keep blocking the broadcast? I just don't understand. The more you do this, the more suspicious it is that you did it. Are we sure there aren't more victims?
- [+72, -2] Kim Yoo-Sun, just admit it. You killed him after stabbing him several times with a needle full of drugs right..?
