The second season of Netflix's 'Kingdom' is drawing a heated response from the public.
According to Netflix, "Kingdom 2" was ranked fourth in Top 10 Korean content at 1 pm on the 14th.
Netflix does not disclose the number of views so the exact figure is not available but the new season is known to have recorded a high ranking less than a day since release on the 13th.
In "Kingdom 2," the secrets of life and death, which appeared in the show's first season, were revealed. Kim Eun-hee had previously warned at a press conference that the rice cakes she had thrown in season 1 would be collected en masse. This season also revisits prior season moments and shows the characters getting close to the truth behind the plague. What's impressive is that their bloodline and power-obsessed desires expressed on this new season are just as frightening as the plague itself.
“Kingdom” is a zombie sageuk that takes place in the Joseon era. In an attempt to save the people during a plague, the crown prince Lee Chang (Joo Ji Hoon) returns to the palace to find the source of the disease and uncovers other secrets and plots within the palace. The first season came to an end with a shocking conclusion, making viewers eagerly look forward to the second season.
'Kingdom' is available to stream on Netflix in more than 190 countries worldwide.
