Dispatch has revealed the truth behind Cho Joo Bin's "celebrity secrets."
When asked by a member from his "Baksa" chatroom where he got his secrets, Cho stated, "I run an entertainment center where I obtain all the personal information of celebrities."
Below is a chat conversation from his "Baksa" chatroom:
Jo Joo Bin: I'll give you all my celebrity stories.
Girl group idol A's social security number: XXXXX-XXXX
Broadcast star B's apartment in XX-dong, Seoul
Girl group idol C new address: XXX. You can see her if you go there and wait. She's a b*tch.
The guys at Dispatch can't find all this on their own. They all hire private detectives.
[The members wen't crazy over the info. Members then asked for information about their favorite celebrities.]
Baksa member 1: Any pictures of D naked?
Jo Joo Bin: Yup, a few.
Baksa member 2: I think he's lying about D.
Jo Joo Bin: D, 18 her new address XXXX, and a few naked body pictures.
He also frequently threw bait to chatroom members. In one chat, he wrote, "F is a slave too. But we'll only reveal it to VIP members." In another conversation he states, "Dispatch also runs an entertainment center like ours."
But some of his "secrets" were falsehoods mixed in with facts. This is how he made money. Members paid more to "satisfy their curiosity" and in turn he would actually stalk these celebrities and idols to get more secrets for his chatroom.
Cho reportedly threatened celebrities to get the material similar to how he threatened JTBC president Son Seok-hee with the alleged "car accident" in Gwacheon. Cho obtained his celebrity secrets through accomplices who worked as "Social Service" agents for his chatrooms. Police have been able to identify 3 social service agents who are public district officials.
One of his chatroom "helpers" had a prior criminal record for stalking and divulging personal information and had served 1 year and two months in prison for it.
